Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Northeast Delegation RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Northeast Louisiana is exposed to both natural and technological hazards; and WHEREAS, our history has demonstrated that economic development and disaster mitigation are inseparable; and WHEREAS, the parishes of Northeast Louisiana have a history of working together to mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from the effects of these hazards; and WHEREAS, the events of September 11th , 2001 demonstrate the need to further enhance regional response capabilities; and WHEREAS, the President’s message of vigilance is a deterrent to the sustainability and expansion of drug cartels and threats to our homeland; and NOW, THEREFORE, WE, The Louisiana Sheriff’s Association, Northeast Delegation do hereby enter into a partnership to further enhance our regional response capability initiate regional activities designed to mitigate the impact of natural and technological hazards and Recognize and support the NELA Hospital Region – Emergency Preparedness Program -- Recognize and support ARES Recognize and support NELA Emergency Managers, Recognize drug cartels as terrorist organizations and Establish the NELA Terrorist consortium to serve NELA for a period of thirty-six months. <<HOME
